West Side Folk works because of its volunteers and supporters.
Bringing the world's best folk, celtic and bluegrass music to
Lawrence, Kansas is an expensive and risky undertaking. West Side Folk
has no paid staff, tries to keep expenses low, and relies heavily on
volunteers. Your financial and volunteer support are crucial!
Here's how you can help:
Volunteer
We especially need help in these areas:
CD/Ticket sales and artist hospitality at shows, people to put up posters,
skilled computer graphic artists to design posters,
people with excellent ears and electronic aptitude to be trained to help
run sound, and strong people to help set up and take down sound equipment.
If you can help in one of more of these ways, please contact Jim Kurtz
at
or call 816-444-9013.
Your season ticket purchases help build our finances and, when you share
tickets with friends and clients, you help build the folk music audience.
Make a tax-deductible financial contribution
Even with volunteer help, your financial contributions are critical.
They make it possible to book the best artists even though that often entails
the risk of considerable financial losses. They also make it possible to
improve our sound system and to better promote folk music to a
wider audience.
West Side Folk is a not-for-profit corporation
qualified under 501(c)(3) of the federal tax laws, making contributions
to West Side Folk tax deductible. Please send your check to West Side Folk,
c/o McWilliams, 3026 Longhorn Drive, Lawrence, KS 66049, and indicate that
it is a contribution. Thanks!
